Vertical Hotel, Norway
Concept for a new type of hotel architecture integrated into the natural verticality
The project presents a conceptual hotel that rethinks the conventional approach to hotel building structures. Instead of the standard arrangement of rooms in horizontal or vertical rows, a system of independent volumes is created, positioned at different levels according to the terrain.
The goal is to achieve a sense of space, lightness, and air between the individual hotel units. Each room is designed as a separate object, nestled among the trees and connected to the character of the site. This creates a visual rhythm—small volumes forming an architectural pattern within the natural environment.
The sloping terrain further enhances the dynamic composition. Every unit offers unique views, privacy, and a strong connection to nature, while simultaneously ensuring comfort and luxury. The project seeks harmony between architecture and landscape, creating the impression of a hotel “suspended” in the air—distinct, intimate, and deeply integrated with its surroundings.
